Bobby Soper, President and CEO of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will appear on WVIA’s State of Pennsylvania. The live interview/call-in show will take place on Thursday, April 24, at 7 p.m. from WVIA’s HDTV theatre.  State of Pennsylvania is hosted by Suzanne Kelly.

Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs opened in November 2006 as Pennsylvania’s first slots parlor.  Today seven casinos operate throughout the Commonwealth.  Mohegan Sun at Pocono downs has proven to be an economic plus for northeastern Pennsylvania, creating new jobs and tourist opportunities.  In addition, last March over $11.5 million gaming tax dollars were dispersed throughout Luzerne County.  It is anticipated that over the next few years between $8 million to $10 million will be distributed to Luzerne County based projects.

Moreover, later this summer Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will open a new 180 million dollar casino and entertainment complex, which will include several higher-end, well-known restaurants.
